Project Details
L&Q employed Axis for a cyclical external improvements programme at Wandsworth Plain and Armoury Way in south west London. The sites consists of around 98 apartments housing over 200 residents.
Axis delivered the cyclical external improvements project across two phases, beginning at Wandsworth Plain and ending on Armoury Way. Works included asbestos surveys, window renewals, and installation of new fascia, soffits boards and new rainwater goods. Challenges included limited space for storage, site set up and drop offs because of the busy roads in Wandsworth. Much of this area is also a conservation area.
We sent monthly newsletters to keep all residents up to date on the works, and also added individual contact details so they could ask our team any questions. In addition to the cyclical external improvements to the buildings, our Community Initiative team created a vegetable garden for residents and we also donated a garden bench so the residents can sit and enjoy their outdoor space.
