Project Details
Our team provided external repairs and redecorations to all previously decorated elements of the Inn’s New Square, Great Hall, Library and Old Hall. We made repairs to the brickwork, stonework, and paving. We then moved onto door and window maintenance alongside painting and render work. The team continued with roof renewals which included slate tiles, chimneys, lead flashing and all new roof windows.
Our team took on further specialist elements within this heritage property work which included signwriting, railing work, lampposts, and decorative ironmongery. The attention to detail that went into preserving the integrity and original design of these properties extended all the way to the specification of coloured putty used in the render repairs.
Project Challenges
Our project management team not only had to accommodate the important legal proceedings that take place on-site daily, which meant quiet working during the hours before tenants went to court, but they also had to clear the site for the filming of ITV’s historical drama Downton Abbey.
