The project involved the complete upgrade of six existing residential units alongside significant remodelling works to improve the building layout and maximise available space. As part of the reconfiguration works, the existing duplex flat was divided into two separate units, increasing the overall number of units within the building from six to seven. This additional space allows Peabody’s care and support team to operate from a new dedicated on-site office while maintaining the building’s residential accommodation.

Residents will benefit from fully upgraded kitchens and bathrooms, new heating and electrical systems, improved fire safety measures and enhanced thermal performance throughout the building. Energy efficiency improvements, including upgraded glazing and building fabric enhancements, have increased the property’s EPC rating from D to C, helping to reduce energy consumption and support lower household bills.

The refurbished building has been designed to provide safe, comfortable and energy-efficient accommodation for young adults requiring assisted living support.
Our understanding of Peabody’s property standards, compliance requirements and long-term asset management objectives enabled close collaboration throughout the project. During the final stages of the scheme, additional compliance information and verification requirements were incorporated to support the client’s evolving operational needs, ensuring the completed building met all requirements ahead of handover.
